Health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being.Sub-health refers to a low quality state between health and disease.(It is also called the "third state", "intermediate state" or "gray state",etc.).At this state, there is no organic disease, but there are functional changes and a variety of risk factors. At present, the diagnostic criteria of sub health have not been unified between all countries in the world. To the research of sub health, modern medicine always consider from the aspect of bacteria(virus) infection, immune system suppression and Endocrine and metabolic disorders. But so far it has not been completely clarified. As a result of the clinical testing of sub-health almost within the normal range, western medicine can do nothing but to take Symptomatic treatment which is lack of direction, such as improving sleep, anti-inflammatory analgesic, enhance immune system function,anti-fatigue and depression. The mechanism of Massage to modulate sub-health is correcting the abnormal position of anatomy, adjusting the biological information and improving the function of our body system.Traditional Chinese Medical Massage is guided by the basic theory of TCM.According to the holism concept, syndrome differentiation and treatment variation, the doctor takes a series of specific practice to the corresponding acupuncture points or parts.Through the regulation of meridian system and acupuncture points,it can adjust the body's physiological functions and improve the pathological environment,as a result, it achieves the role of prevention and treatment of disease. Objective:By taking clinical randomized controlled research methods to observe the sub-health patients with physical pain and evaluate the modulating effect of traditional Chinese medical massage to the sub-health with physical pain. Methods:To select 60 sub-health patients with physical pain who meet the inclusion criteria from Xianlie East massage clinic of First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and divide them 1:1 into treatment group and control group by simple random method.According to exclusion criteria, there are all 60 cases included,of which 30 cases compose treatment group, the rest 30 cases compose the control group. One month later, by observing the changes of the two groups indicators of McGill pain question(MPQ)and scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF) to evaluate the clinical effect. To establish the database and then take statistical analysis with SPSS16.0.To analyze numerical variable with t test, categorical variable with X2 test and correction X2 test(or the exact probability method),ranked data with rank sum test. The test standardαis 0.05 and to take Bilateral test. Results:The general information including gender, age, course of disease, WHOQOL-BRIEF scores,MPQ indicators of the two groups, there is no(P>0.05).the baselines of the two groups are basically the same before treatment. To compare the indicators of McGill pain question(MPQ)before and after the treatment of the two groups, there is significant difference(p<0.05)between the indicators of PRI,NWC,PPI before and after treatment of the treatment group. It shows that there has been significant improvement in pain rating index(PRI),the number of words chosen(NWC)and present pain intensity(PPI) after taking Traditional Chinese Medical Massage. There is no significant difference(p>0.05)between the indicators of PRI,NWC,PPI before and after treatment of the control group. It shows that there is no significant improvement in pain rating index(PRI),the number of words chosen(NWC)and present pain intensity(PPI) after taking more Supine rest.To compare the indicators of McGill pain question(MPQ) after the treatment of the two groups, there is significant difference(p<0.05)between the indicators of PRI,NWC,PPI.It shows that the improvement of pain rating index(PRI),the number of words chosen(NWC)and present pain intensity(PPI) of the treatment group surpass that of the control group. To compare the scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF) before and after the treatment of the two groups, there is significant difference(p<0.05)between the scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life(WHOQOL-BREF) before and after the treatment of the treatment group. It can be treated as improvement when the difference is more than 10 scores. It shows that there is significant improvement of the quality of life pain after taking Traditional Chinese Medical Massage. To compare the scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF) before and after the treatment of the two groups, there is no significant difference(p>0.05)between the scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life(WHOQOL-BREF) before and after the treatment of the control group. It can be treated as stability when the difference is less than 10 scores. It shows that there is no significant improvement of the quality of life pain after taking more supine rest.To compare the scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF) before and after the treatment of the two groups and the scores after treatment between the two groups, there is significant difference(p<0.05).It shows that the quality of life of the treatment group surpass that of the control group. Conclusion:Traditional Chinese Medical Massage is an effective method to modulate It can improve the scores of The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF),decrease the pain rating index(PRI),the number of words chosen(NWC)and present pain intensity(PPI) and reduce symptoms significantly. It can improve the clinical integrated effect and to add one more effective therapy to Modulate the sub health with physical pain.
