Preliminary Report Of The Clinical Outcomes Of Minimally Invasive Transformainal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) In The Treatment Of Spondylolisthesis

[Objective]To evaluate the clinical outcomes of minimally invasive transformainal lumbar interbody fusion(TLIF) in the treatment of spondylolisthesis[Methods]Minimally invasive transformainal lumbarinterbody fusion(TLIF) was used with spondylolisthesis during the surgical operations(study group).A total of 17 patients,16 males and 9 females,with ages from 17 to 72(average 51.3 years),underwent minimally invasive TLIF. Another 20 patients with spondylolisthesis who receive the posterior lumbar interbody fusion(PLIF) surgical operations theraphy were used as control group,The quantity of bloodloss during the surgery,the whole surgery time,the complication,clinical effect were recorded. Pre-operative and post-operative states were evaluated through ODI scoring system.The results in two groups were compared with each other.[Results]The time of operations of study group was 194.71±39.47 minutes.The loss of blood was 398.24±205.49ml.Two case have complication after operation.Functional outcomes were quantified using the Oswestry Disability Index.The average Oswestry scores decreased from(27.82±2.24) preoperatively to(3.12±0.93) postoperatively.The outcomes of operation was satisfactory.The time of operations of control group was 244.00±81.0 min.The loss of blood was 1033.00±645.25 ml.The average Oswestry scores decreased from(27.80±2.46) preoperatively to(3.20±0.89) postoperatively.The 37 cases were followed up from 6 months to 12 months.[Conclusion]The effect of Minimally invasive transformainal lumbarinterbody fusion(TLIF) was reliable.Compare with PLIF,it sharply reduced the time of operations,the loss of blood, complications.The whole follow up of clinical effect was no difference amang the two techniques,It made the operation of spondylolisthesis much more safer than before.
