Experimental Study Of Pedicle Screw Placement With Navigation System Base On CT Image

Objectives We made a step by step operation on SpineNav-01,a navigation system,to illustrate the mechanism of computer-assisted surgery and evaluate the accuracy of SpineNav-01 in cadaveric experiment.Methods 23 pedicle screws were implanted in 3 cadaveric spine.The pedicle screw placement were assessed by bare eyes to evaluation the accuracy of SpineNav-01.The results were compared to the history study.Results All of the 23 pedicle screws implanted with the assistance of SpineNav-01 navigation system were assessed correctly placed.The accuracy is 100%,the same as document record.Conclusions SpineNav-01 navigation system achieves the same accuracy of similar products in cadaveric study.A clinical study should be launched.
