| PurposeThe purpose of this research is to use MR diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to measure ADC values, FA values, and analysis the value of each data, to evaluate variety of each value and its clinic effect of radiotherapy for brain metastases of lung cancer.Methods and materialsCollected the patient from September 2007 to March 2009 at China Medical University First Affiliated Radiotherapy department. All patients accepted the head X-knife treatment had the primary lesions or metastatic lesions of lung cancer confirmed by pathology in patients with brain metastases of 21 cases, 21 cases were adenocarcinoma, among single 11 human many 10 human and total 42 nodes.Each case did conventional MR and DTK 3D SPGR scan in the head X-knife treatment one days ago, and the 1st day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months after treatment. Before knife, 3 months, and 6 months did MR enhancement. Siemens PRIMUS linear accelerator 6MV X-ray, dose rate 2Gy/min. Brain LAB company Stereotactic treatment system and version SCAN4.0 target three-dimensional planning system for positioning and dose calculation, all lesions are sub-treatment, 4 ~ 6 times, interval of 1 day.Cancer treatment efficacy evaluation: at the end of radiation therapy for 6 months enhanced MRI examination, and treatment of pre-contrast enhanced MRI examination to do in order to determine the situation of tumor shrink. Use evaluation criteria in solid tumor of WHO. (1) CR: Lesions completely disappeared; (2) PR: lesions decreased more than 50% or not enhanced and the tumor cystic degeneration; (3) NC: lesions decreased less than 50% , or increased less than 25% ( 4) PD: lesions increased above 25% or revived surrounding.Using SPSS13.0 package, ADC and FA were expressed in the mean±standard deviation. Each datas were compared between each type of pathology. Using L-S-D test to compare between efficient and inefficient group. At same time analysis of trend of various datas was done.Results1,ADC values were first increased but after drop and FA values were all increased.2,ADC value was higher in efficient group than inefficiency group 1 week after radiotherapy. FA value was higher in efficient group than inefficiency group 1 day after radiotherapy. FA value was higher in efficient group than inefficiency group 1 weeks after radiotherapy.3,FA value was higher in efficient group than inefficiency group at any time.Conclusion1,ADC values were first increased but after drop and FA values were all increased of radiotherapy for brain metastases of lung cancer2,Change of FA value can evaluate the efficiency of radiotherapy for brain metastases of lung cancer in earlier periodcan.3,FA value can predict the efficiency of radiotherapy prior treatment. |
