Clinical Study Of Congshenqingzhi Capsule On Treatment Of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

ObjectiveBy observing the clinical effect and mechanism of Congshenqingzhi capsule on patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease for the clinical application of Activating Yang Theory to provide a scientific basis.Method100 nonalcoholic fatty liver patients(including out-patients and wards of department of Gastroenterology from the First Hospital of Wuhan City) consistent with the diagnostic criteria were selected from 2007-4 to 2008-10, were classified according to the diagnostic criteria of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The patients randomized into treatment group(50 cases) and control group(50 cases).The former was administered with Congshenqingzhi,2 capsules each,bid;the latter was given Essentiale,3 capsule,tid.Both treatment period were three months,two weeks after the withdrawal to observe the effect.Before and after treatment were observed in patients with body mass index(BMI),clinical symptom score,blood lipids(TC,TG,HDL, LDL),liver function(ALT,AST,ALP,y-GT,TBi1),B-ultrasonography points card assessment of Designate types and clinical efficacy.Result(1)Two groups of patients with body mass index:Before treatment,two groups of patients with body mass index was no significant difference(P>0.05). After treatment,two groups of patients with body mass index has decreased, but no statistical significance(P>0.05).(2) Symptom score before and after treatment:Before treatment,the symptom score of two groups was no significant difference(P>0.05).After treatment,two groups of patients with symptom score was significantly lower than before treatment,there is significant difference(P<0.05,P<0.01). Symptom score in patients with the treatment group and control group,there is significant difference(P>0.05).(3)Clinical efficacy of two groups:In the treatment group of fifty cases, significant clinical efficacy has 10 cases,35 cases were effective,5 cases has invalid.The total effective rate is 90%.In the control group of fifty cases, significant clinical efficacy has 6 cases,30 cases were effective,14 cases has invalid.The total effective rate is 72%.Byχ~2 test,there is the efficiency of the two groups has statistical significance compared(P<0.05).(4)Efflcacy of TCM Syndrome:The difference between the two groups were not statistically in all types.(5)Lipid levels before and after treatment:Before treatment,the lipid levels of two groups was no significant difference(P>0.05).After treatment,control group of patients with TC,TG decreased than that before treatment,there is significant difference(P<0.05).HDL,LDL level of change was no significant difference in control group(P>0.05).Treatment group of patients with TC,TG, LDL decreased significantly than that before treatment,there is significant difference(P<0.05).In which,TG of the changes have very significant difference(P<0.01).HDL levels has a increase significantly,there is significant difference(P<0.05).There is significant difference in TC,TG,LDL levels of treatment group than that of the control group(P<0.05).(6)Liver function before and after treatment:Before treatment,the liver funtion of two groups was no significant difference(P>0.05).After treatment, there is a decrease significantly in the two groups of patients with ALT,AST,γ-GT than that before treatment(P<0.05).In which,there is a very significant difference in ALT decline in the control group.There is no significant difference between the two groups. (7)B ultrasonic points:Before treatment,B ultrasonic points of two groups was no significant difference(P>0.05).After treatment,two groups of patients have a significant drop in points.In which,treatment group better than the control group.ConclusionCongshenqingzhi capsule can significantly improve clinical symptoms in patients with NAFLD.It can significantly reduced the levels of TC,TG,LDL in patients,especially the level of TG;at the same time also can improve the level of HDL so as to improve lipid metabolism disorder.It can significantly reduced the levels of ALT,AST,γ- GT in patients,so as to protect liver function of patients and reduce the damage of liver.The symptoms of B-ultrasound also be improved significantly.In additional,Congshenqingzhi capsule has no significant adverse reactions and side effects,it is safety. Clinical efficacy in Congshenqingzhi capsule is better than Essentiale capsule. The results show that Chinese medicine of activating yang-Congshenqingzhi capsule has a better role for the treatment of NAFLD and verified that "Yang Barrier" may be the key factor throughout the occurrence and development of NAFLD.It provides a scientific basis for the Activating Yang Theory.
