Bipolar disorder(BPD) is a common severe psychiatric disorder,which manifestated with episodes of mania /hypomania and depression.Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD) is a chronic neurosis characterised by uncontrollable obsession or compulsion.OCD afffects the ability of daily life and causes great impairment of social function.When BPD and ODC happen in one patient,it is termed as bipolar-obsessive-compulsive comorbidity.Many reports have shown that this comorbidity is a kind of common phenomenon.BPD with depresive episode or manic episode can be associated with obsessive symptoms.The treatment of this comorbidity is much more difficult than that of the single BPD or OCD.So it is important to summarize the experiences of diagnosis and treatment of this comorbidity to form a norm of therapeutic strategy.This article reports two cases with bipolar-obsessive-compulsive comorbidity in the psychiatry department of the Second Affilicated Hospital of Medical school,Zhejiang University. |
