Objective To study the changes of ultrastructure and protein P53 expression of rat embryos tissues insonificated by color Doppler ultrasound (CDUS) .Methods Pregnant 4~5 days SD rats were insonificated by diagnostic CDUS, and they were divided randomly and averagely according to insonification time (10min,20min,30min,60min), Control group was sham insonificated 24 hours later. Rat embryos were resected for further research. P53 expression was tested by immunohistochemistry method,and utrastructural changes were observed by transmission electronic microscope ( TEM) .Results There were no significant changes on expression of protein P53 in 10min and 20min, but there were significant changes in 30min and 60min groups( P < 0.05). And there were significant differences between insonification 0min and other groups in rat embryos cell ultrastructural changes . Some ultrastructural changes in rat embryos cells such as mitochondria swelling and vacuoles were observed by TEM test. Some cells have two nucleoluses.Conclusions Insonification with diagnostic CDUS may affect the expression of protein P53 and bring changes of ultrastructural in rat embryos tissues.
