Expression of Syk protein in ovarian carcer and its clinical significanceObjective To explore the expressions and their clinical significance of spleen tyrosine kinase(Syk) protein in human ovarian carcer.Methods PV-6000 immunohistochemistry was applied to detect the expressions of Syk protein in 46 ovarian carcer,15 chronic infammtion and normal ovarian tissues.To analyzed of the levels of Syk protein in a conjunction with the clinical features of ovarian career.Results The positive staining of Syk protein mainly localized in the cytoplasm,distributed diffusely and highly intensity expression in the normal ovarian tissue and ovarian benign tumor tissue,but the expression of Syk protein was weaker in ovarian cancer.The expression of Syk protein in ovarian cancer,ovarian benign tumor tissue and normal cervical tissue differently(x~2=49.42,P<0.01 ).The protein expression of Syk was significantly lower in ovarian cancer than that in normal ovarian tissue(x~2=42.62, P<0.01) and ovarian benign tumor tissue(x~2=16.03,P<0.01 ),but the difference had no meaning between normal ovarian tissue and ovarian benign tumor tissue (x~2=3.34,P>0.05).There was no significant relationship between the levels of Syk protein expression with the pathological types(x~2=0.14,P>0.05) and the clinical stage(x~2=0.253, P>0.05) in ovarian cancer,But the levels of Syk-protein expression was significant associated with the differentiation of tumor histology(x~2=22.72,P<0.01).The protein expression of Syk was significantly lower in low differentiated ovarian cancer than that in middle differentiated ovarian cancer tissue(x~2=6.10,P<0.05) and high differentiated ovarian cancer tissue(x~2=21.35,P<0.01).The expression of Syk protein in middle differentiated ovarian cancer and high differentiated ovarian cancer tissue differently (x~2=7.06,P<0.01) Syk-protein expression was significant associated with the lymph node metastasis(x~2=7.32,P<0.01).Conclusions The expression of Syk protein in ovarian cancer,normal ovarian tissue and ovarian benign tumor tissue was different.There was no difference between normal ovarian tissue and ovarian benign tumor tissue on Syk-protein expression.The lower expression of Syk may play an important role in genesis/invasive and metastasis of ovarian cancer. Ovarian benign tumor may not be risk factors for the genesis of ovarian cancer.Detection of Syk protein may be used as reference markers for judging prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer. |
