Study On The Cardiac Toxicity Caused By Epirubicin Chemotherapeutic Agents For Breast Cancer Treated With Shengmai Injection

Objective:To observe the curative effect of shengmai injection in treating the cardiac toxicity caused by epirubicin chemotherapeutic agents in the multiple cause of treatment for breast cancer patients.Methods:A total of 119 cases of stageâ…¡postoperative breast cancer patients were enrolled at random.Among them,57 cases were in the therapeutic group,During the 4 cycles chemotherapy by using epirubicin and docetaxol,50ml of shengmai injection were infused.Another 62 cases were in control group,and use only epirubicin plus docetaxol for 4 cycles.The changes pre- and post-treatment simultaneously.On ECG(electrocardiogram),echo cardiogram(to observe LVEF) and troponin were observed between the two groups.Results:After comparison on the ECG changes,LVEF and troponin before and after chemotherapy in the two groups,we found that in the treatment group,the incidence of ECG abnormality(including arrhythmia,ST-T change and heart block) was evidently lower than that of the control group(P>0.05).The decrease percent and degree of LVEF in the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The increase degree of troponin in the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Shengmai Injection can reduce the incidence of heart toxicity during epirubicin chemotherapeutic agents treatment.It had some preventive function for heart injury,especial,to the elderly patients.
