Children's naive theory means in some area children received informal, pre-scientific knowledge. Naive theory is a special area of concern domain-specific, with the traditional cognitive research, this theory more emphasis on the specificity of the area and the role of knowledge and experierce, pay more attention to actual social situations in the experimental study.Naive biology is the children's early understanding of daily biology and physiological phenomenon or the process, such as illness, birth, growth or death. "Genetic" is the important one of the core concepts of biology. This study was designed to detect 4-6 years old children's understanding of genetic by self-made research tools. It can provide a theoretical basis for science activities in kindergarten.Using the self-made experiments and interviews as research tools, and taking a sample of 153 children aged 4 - 6 by random from kindergartens and primary schools in Chongqing, to test Children's understanding of the biological phenomena "genetic". The main conclusions drawn by this research are as follows:1. The vast majority of child predict the human offspring's physical characteristics and beliefs are similar to their natural parents, and "birth" to explain this phenomenon. Only a small number of children to determine offspring Characteristics of the faith will be like their step-parents, few involved in its interpretation of "parenting" relationship.2. Half of young children aware of the physical characteristics of human life remain unchanged, with age older, the frequency of children's care to determine the characteristics of the human body will change decreased. The children are rarely associated with "physical change" or "education, learning," when explain the causes of Characteristics change, more from the daily experience and personal preferences.3.The function of characteristics plays an important role for young children to determine parental animals and offspring genetic phenomenon. Children's prediction of whether a non-norm characteristics inherit, the primary consideration is whether this characteristics will affect the animals' functions.4.Even young children can be aware of the similar environment does not play a decisive role for the genetic characteristics of animal, they determine the adult animals doesn't share the same characteristics with their neighbors.5.The children of different ages on the genetic characteristics of plants are not synchronized, children have a closer understanding of simple science for their own familiar, plants.
