| Objective: To investigate the expression of angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) in the placenta of patients with nomal pregnancy and with hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy, and discuss the relationship between Ang-2 and hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy .Methods: Immunohistochemistry(SP Method) was used to study the expression of Ang-2 in the placenta of 35 patients of eclampsism(13 mild eclampsism, 22 severe eclampsism ) and 22 nomal pregnancies(the control group). High resolution pathological image analysis system (HPIAS-1000) was used for the quantitative analysis of Ang-2.Results: The staining area, average optical density were determined on sections of placenta form eclampsism and nomal pregnancies women by HPIAS-1000. The staining area, average optical density and integral optical density in the syncytiotrophoblast(STB) layer and villous endothelium of human placental tissue was greatly induced in preeclamptic patients(including mild group and severe group) than the control group(P<0.05), indicating that the expression of Ang-2 is apparentely induced in hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy. The result of HPIAS-1000(average optical density): control group 0.466727±0.070939, mild group 0.417723±0.039941, severe group 0.279677±0.046234. Between the control group and the mild group,P=0.016, between the control group and the severe group,P=0.00, and between the mild group and the severe group,P=0.00. All of these data has apparente statistical significance. Conclusion: The expression of Ang-2 in the STB layer and villous endothelium of human placental tissue was apparentely induced in the placenta of preelcamptic patients. This may be involved in the pathogenesis of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy. |
