| Obesity is independently associated with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. The initial development of cardiovascular disease occurs during childhood and obesitymay accelerat this process. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise on oxidative stress in obese young women and the related factors, and to discuss the functional mechanism of exercise on prevention and treatment of obese relative disease.Using case-antitheses research way,36 obese young women volunteered for this study. Measurements included the marker of systemic oxidative stress(plasma 8-epi-PGF2α),the marker of irfflammation(hsCRP),insulin resistance index(HOMR-IR),body mass index(BMI).Randomly assigned these 36 obese young women to 12 weeksof either a jogging or jogging plus anti-resistance exercise group or a sedentary control group.Check all the indexes above before' and after 12-week-long exercise. The result:①The level of plasma 8-epi -PGF2αwas significantly higher in obese young women than that in normal controls(P (0.05);The levels of 8-epi-PGF2αwas positively correlated with BMI,hsCRP and HOMR-IR.So the obese young women have higher level of oxidative stress which was positively correlated with the BMI,inflammation and insulin resistance, oxidative stress may plays an important role in the pathogenesis of obesity and its relative disease.②There is an significant difference(P(0.05) in HOMR-IR after 12-week jogging, and no significant difference in BMI,8-epi-PGF2αand hsCRP(P) 0.05 ).So 12-week jogging can raise the sensitivity of insulin in obese young women, but has no significant effect on the BMI, inflammation and oxidative stress.③There is an significant difference(P(0.05) in the BMI,8 -epi-PGF2αHOMR-IR and hsCRP after 12-week jogging plus anti-resistance exercise and the HOMR-IR was lower than that after 12-week jogging(P(0.05) 12-week jogging plus anti-resistance can not only improved insulin sensitivity in obese young women, but also decrease the level of oxidative stress and inflammation.④The change in 8-epi-PGF2αafter 12-week jogging plus anti-resistance was significantly related to changes in BMI(r=0.8688;P<0.01).So 12-week jogging plus anti-resistance decreased the level of oxidative stress in obese young women was associated with decreased BMI. |
