According to the principles and methods of bionics, this article's main work is on the robot retinal structure about motion and working mechanism of the design, analysis and experimental study ,and also efforts to explore the biological visual motion information with the retinal processing of visual information and its mathematical structure,and will to be build a bridge between the biological retina and the robot retina, so as to provide the theoretical basis of the retina based on the biological mechanisms about visual motion information.this article introduces the development background about the cells of motion information and the related to channel about the information of the movement (what,where) and some information processing in the first chapter. this article introduces the physiological mechanism of cells about retinal motion information, Discussion retinal photoreceptor cells and the coupling effect on the robot motion information; further explains the working mechanism about star-burst amacrine cells and directionally selective ganglion cells in the second chapter. this article introducesthe channel about information on the movement in biological retinal in the third chapter, this paper discovers some rules and their identical mathematical structures in biological vision system. The main mathematical structures are as follow:①In the collection about functions ( 1 ON1)FS ,all the functions with the parallel relationship and its parallel relationship Constitute a category of parallel②In the collection about functions ( 1 ON1)FS , all the functions with the source relationship and its source relationship Constitute a category of source③In the subsystem S1 , source relationship is equivalent for the all functions with the source relationship.④The assumption that there are two timing chain: CHAIN a, CHAIN b,their original functions are F( a), F( b);if Fa Fb ( parallel ) is seted up, CHAIN a, CHAIN bis also parallel.⑤The assumption that there are two timing chain: CHAIN a, CHAIN b,their original functions are F( a),F ( b);if F( a)and F( b) have nothing to do with timing, CHAIN a, CHAIN b also have nothing to do with timing.These mathematical structures naturally reflect there are same characteristics and processing of information between the biological retina and Robot retina, and provide guidance to the design of software and the process simulation of the retina information.According to the composition of biological system and information processing mechanism as well as the mathematical structure proposed in this paper, establish the software retina system, and do experimental study on the mechanism of its work in the fouth chapter.According to motion information processing mechanism in the retina,the article establishes an identical software system of retinal motion information,and are studing the motion system of the eight directions.experimental results show that the retina system has the following nature:①this article analyses the detective process of cells about motion objects from 0 degree to 315 degrees for detecting the brighter objects. Experiments show that there are star-burst amacrine cells and directionally selective ganglion cells from 0 degree to 315 degrees which may detect the degree which is from 0 degree to 315 degrees.②this article analyses the detective process of cells about motion objects from 0 degree to 315 degrees for detecting the darker objects. Experiments show that there are star-burst amacrine cells and directionally selective ganglion cells from 0 degree to 315 degrees which may detect the degree which is from 0 degree to 315 degrees.③Experiments show that star-burst amacrine cells detect the motion by the Inhibitory receptive fields, and different sectors of inhibitory receptive fields may detect the movement in different directions through researching inhibitory receptive fields of star-burst amacrine cells from 0 degree to 315 degrees.
