Superior orbital fissure(superior orbital fissure,SOF) is located at optic canal lateral in orbital apex,it similar to the triangle cranny between the sphenoid body and large and small sphenoid wing,and it traveling from outside on the former to after the period under oblique,and it surrounded by up wall,outer wall and inner wall.Superior orbital fissure 's lateral wall is sphenoid large flange,up wall make up by small sphenoid wing,anterior clinoid process and a part of column form- ation,inner wall constitute by sphenoid body and vision pillar. Vision pillar is osteopontin that stretched out by the anterior clinoid process basal, it can separate superior orbital fissure and optic canal.Summit of superior orbital fissure on medial sphenoid ridge,and the bottom on junction of the large sphenoid wing and the sphenoid body.All cranial nerves and eye vein that through the cavernous sinus,such as:the third,fourth,the ophthalmic branch of the fifth cranial nerve and the superior ophthalmic vein,can out of orbit by means of superior orbital fissure.Anatomical structure of superior orbital fissure is very extraordinary,the relationship that superior orbital fissure and the brain, paranasal sinuses is very close,so some pathological changes of the brain and paranasal sinuses can be violated superior orbital fissure usually.In the past, research and treatment the superior orbital fissure,due to the level of development of science and technology and economic conditions of the restrictions,the surgical treatment of the traditional concept of impact on the quality of life and different requirements of the equipment at that time constraints and other factors,and it did not receive widespread attention.In recent years, because of the continuous development and improvement on the clinical treatment technology and treatment equipment,and China's economic development and the improvement of living standards,in particular imaging equipment are used in clinical examination widely,overwhelming majority of clinicians are recognizing that importance about anatomical structure of superior orbital fissure on diagnosis and treatment of superior orbital fissure lesions.Imaging examination because of painless,fine,fast,and close to the entities of anatomy has always been a major means of inspection.Because of special construction of superior orbital fissure,X-ray film inspection video too many overlapping,levels unclear,unable to provide detailed structure and soft tissue of the image.At present,the high-field MRI can clearly show that although the superior orbital fissure regional structure and pathological changes,but due to the high-field MRI of the high cost of inspection and limits the lengh of its clinical application.Multi-slice spiral CT scan MPR can clearly show skeletal pose, lesions and the relations bétween the neighbours around of superior orbital fissure, the reconstruction of coronal images is similar to or better than conventional coronal scan images.Research purposes:According to the gross anatomy and sectional anatomy as the basis,research different directions at different levels of superior orbital fissure form,the relations between the neighbours around and communication by multi-slice spiral CT scan MPR,deepen their understanding of superior orbital fissure disease about imaging features,improve the level of diagnositic imaging, make the study area to a higher level.Materials and Methods:This study selected 50 cases of healthy people, and collected 52 canses of patients who had disease of superior orbital fissure,all produced by the German SIEMENS Sensatian 16 of the multi-slice spiral CT scanner,scanning method is conventional scanning not rebuild the image of conventional methods and has been scanned at the same time did 1.0mm between inserted,then the datas send CT workstations do MPR,mainly coronal reconstruction and sagittal recon- struction,some person according to the special circumstances did oblique coronal plane reconstruction.Image analysis in the cross-sectional image adjustment on the basis of the best visual image to appear as the best standard,to observe normal form,skeletal pose,the relations between the neighbours around and lesions of superior orbital fissure lesion from all fields and all levels.Because of superior orbital fissure distributed is paired,this paper analysis it according to "side",use of statistical methods to assess the changes of the superior orbital fissure in the conventional CT scan and MPR image after the pros and cons.Results:(1)Multi-slice spiral CT scan of the MPR image have advantages for the overall shape and skeletal pose of the superior orbital fissure.Morphology of the superior orbital fissure can indicate clearly on the sagittal and coronal reconstructed image.Multi-slice spiral CT scan of the MPR image show ophthalmic vein is more better on the sagittal reconstructed image than coronal reconstructed image,this study show that the rate of ophthalmic vein is 20%. Multi-slice spiral CT scan of the MPR image show nerve is better on the MRI than CT,this study only show small punctuate shadow of oculomotor nerve branch,nasociliary nerve and outreach nerve.About body fat of the superior orbital fissure,CT is not sensitive than MRI,this study show that the rate of body fat is 15%.(2) Multi-slice spiral CT has application in superior orbital fissure lesion,it can observe abnormal changes of superior orbital fissure form all fields and all angles,for example,superior orbital fissure to expand,abnormal density image in superior orbital fissure,superior orbital fissure bone wall hyperosteogeny,hardening,damage and disruption of continuity,etc.Moreover, multi-slice spiral CT scan is able to display the superior orbital fissure lesion outline and extent,owing to the different of CT-number,it could judge cystic, solid,bone,optimum,malignant lesions.Conclusion:Multi-slice spiral CT scan of the MPR had overcome the disadvantages of conventional CT scan,it is able to show anatomical structure of the superior orbital fissure clearly and convenience,and it could provide reliable image datas to clinical diagnosis for superior orbital fissure lesion.In short,with continuous development of modern medical imaging study,espically multi-slice spiral CT used widely,multi-planar reconstruction technique will Play an important role in imaging diagnosis of day-to-day work to body systems.
