Laser tooth bleaching is an important tooth bleaching method in the dental esthetics field. The study was based on the oxidation hypothesis of tooth bleaching therapy, and focused on the hydrogen peroxide gel formulation design for laser tooth bleaching, while 808 nm infrared diode laser was used to activated the tooth bleaching procedure.The research summarized the generation of human teeth color, causes of human tooth discoloration and principle of laser tooth bleaching, reviewed the gel formulation of different patents for laser tooth bleaching method, analysised the compositon of different gels, studied the composition content and founctions of these compositions. The composition for 808nm diode laser activated tooth bleaching gel had been designed.Molecule structure, physical and chemical properties and decomposition process of hydrogen peroxide has been analysised. Permanganimetric method has been used to measure the hydrogen peroxide content deposited by different time in different reaction conditions in water or gel solutions. Different factors such as sodium hydroxide content in solutions, thicking agent concent in gels, sodium hydroxide content in gels, catalyzer addition and illumination of inferred diode laser light has been studied for their influences on hydrogen peroxide decomposition rate.Experiment data of hydrogen peroxide decomposition under different condisions was processed by the integration method of chemical dynamics. Reaction orders of hydrogen peroxide decomposition in the gel under different conditions were obtained. |
