Clinical, Pathogenesis And Syndrome Investigation Of The Relationship Between Metabolic Syndrome And Stroke

Obejective:We analyzed the risk factors relative to MS and/or stroke,on the basis of which we further investigated the pathogenesis and syndrome rules of stroke caused by MS,in order to provide a new way of prevention and treatment of stroke.Method:We collected the clinical information of MS and/or stroke patients,used statistical methods such as t-test, chi-square analysis and Logistic regression etc. to analyze the relative risk factors,symptoms,physical signs and syndromes,primarily explored the pathogenesis and syndrome rules with referrance to TCM theories.Result:1.aging, gender, diet hobby, smoking, drinking, mental tention, irritability, less sport exercise, snoring, as well as congenital disposition and life style etc. are risk factors which can promote the formation of phlegm-heat syndrome;2.MS patients would develop to stroke earlier than those without MS on average;3.Of the ms and stroke patients,phlegm-heat syndrome is a major syndrome.Conclusion:(1)Phlegm-heat is a significant pathogenic factor of MS and stroke,while phlegm-heat-induced wind is the key pathogenesis of stroke.(2)As the major syndrome of stroke,phlegm-heat syndrome often turns into phlegm-stagnation in collaterals, stirring of wind due to deficiency of YIN and qi-deficiency and blood-stasis syndromes.(3)People with the constitution of phlegm-heat are susceptible to MS and stroke,especially to stroke at an earlier age.
