Objective:To investigate the effects and mechanisms of XueFuZhuYu Decoction in the patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods:The effects of XueFuZhuYu Decoction on the proliferation of the cultured human mesangial cells under high glucose condition were observed in vitro.7 healthy volunteers who have similar age and height took the xuefuzhuyu decoction for 7 days. Then get the serum containing xuefuzhuyu decoction solution.Blank serum was taken as control. The primary cultured human mesangial cells was resuscitated and cultured with conventionally. Then they were passaged.Cells were cultured separately in normal glucose, high glucose, high glucose with blank serum, high glucose with low xuefuzhuyu decoction serum, high glucose with medial xuefuzhuyu decoction serum, high glucose with high xuefuzhuyu decoction serum, and Simvastat-treated high glucose group. The proliferation of human mesangial cells was determined by MTT chromatometry.Observe the ultramicro structure of human mesangial cells with microscope and transmission electron microscope. Results:Compared with the A group, the mesangial cells proliferated obviously in the B group(P<0.01).Compared with the B group, the proliferation of mesangial cells were not inhibited in the C group(P>0.05).The proliferation of mesangial cells were all inhibited in the D,E and F groups compared with the B group(P<0.01).This efect is in a dose-dependent manner.Compared with the B group, the proliferation of mesangial cells were also inhibited in the G group(P<0.01).There was not obvious diferrence in the F and G group(P>0.05)Conclusion Xuefuzhuyu decoction has renal protective property that was associated with its suppression on the proliferation of human mesangial cell cultured under high glucose conditions.
