Expression And Significance Of ICAM-1, VEGF In Tissue And Serum Of The Patients With Endometriosis

Objective: To study the expression of ICAM-1, VEGF in eutopic endometrium,ectopic endometrium and the expression of sICAM-1, VEGF serum of the patients with endometriosis. To evaluate the importance and relationship of ICAM-1, VEGF,sICAM-1, VEGF during the development in EMs.Methods: Collected 30 patients who were treated by surgery and confirmed EMs by postoperative pathology as the test group, 25-49 years old, according to the internationally recognized rAFS (United States reproductive Association, 1985) phases of the phased, three cases of Stage I, 10 cases Phaseâ…¡, nine casesâ…¢, eight casesâ…£; Collected 30 patients who were treated by surgery and confirmed uterine myoma by postoperative pathology as the control group, 33-50 years old. Detected by immunohistochemistry method and ELISA. Analysis of the expression and the interrelationships between the factors. Using SPSS13.0 statistics package for statistical analysis.Results: 1. Expression of ICAM-1,VEGF in tissues: the ICAM-1 positive substances mainly localized in the cytoplasm; There were significant differences between ectopic endometrial group and the control group(P =0.001), ectopic group and the control group (P =0.037), eutopic group and the control group (P =0.000 ). The VEGF positive substances mainly localized in the cytoplasm;There were significant differences between ectopic endometrial group and the control group(P =0.000), significant differences between eutopic group and the control group (P =0.037), eutopic group and the control group (P =0.002).2. Expression of sICAM-1,VEGF in serum: sICAM-1 serum level of the test group was higher than the control group, there were significant differences between test group and control group (P =0.000 ).VEGF serum level of the test group was higher than the control group, there were significant differences between test group and control group (P =0.000 ).3.The relationship between expression and clinical stage of ICAM-1 in tissue:both eutopic group and ectopic group compared with the control group were significant (P <0.05), and stageâ… ,â…¡higher thanâ…¢,â…£(P <0.05).4. The relationship between expression and clinical stage of VEGF in tissue: both eutopic group and ectopic group compared with the control group were significant (P <0.05), and stageâ… ,â…¡higher thanâ…¢,â…£(P <0.05).5. The relationship between expression and clinical stage of sICAM-1 in serum: both eutopic group and ectopic group compared with the control group were significant (P <0.05), and stageâ… ,â…¡higher thanâ…¢,â…£(P <0.05).6. The relationship between expression and clinical stage of VEGF in serum: both eutopic group and ectopic group compared with the control group were significant (P <0.05), and stageâ… ,â…¡higher thanâ…¢,â…£(P <0.05).7.The ICAM-1, VEGF, sICAM-1 expression of test group whether in tissues or serums were higher than the control group, and there were correlations between ICAM-1 and VEGF, sICAM-1 and VEGF.Conclusion: 1.The expression of ICAM-1 in eutopic endometrium was fell, in ectopic endometrium was high,so it may be involved in the endometriosis'development and process.2. The expression of VEGF in eutopic endometrium was fell, in ectopic endometrium was high,so it may be involved in the endometriosis'development and process.3. The expression of ICAM-1 and VEGF in ectopic tissue of EMs patients were consistant, the expression of sICAM-1 and VEGF in serum of EMs patients had positive correlation. Tip that ICAM-1 and VEGF, sICAM-1 and VEGF may had collaborative relationship in the EMs'ocurrence and develop progress.
