The Expression Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Women With Unexplained Early Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion

Objective:Through investigating the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in villus,decidua and serum of the unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion women,approach the role of VEGF in the morbidity of unexplained early recurrent spontaneous abortion(UERSA).Methods:Choosen 22 cases of UERSA and 15 cases who had the history of UERSA but no gestation this time were sthudied,24 cases of normal pregnancy women and 25 cases of normal pregnancy history but no gestation during the research were selected as normal groups.(1)The expression of VEGFmRNA in villus and decidua of UERSA and normal pregnancy women were examined by semi-quantitative reverse transcription -polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).(2)The serum VEGF of UERSA,women who had the history of UERSA but no gestation this time,normal pregnancy women and normal pregnancy history but no gestation women were determined by using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results:(1)The expression of VEGFmRNA in villus(1.02±0.08) and decidua(0.73±0.06)in UERSA were apparently lower than in villus(1.66±0.11)and decidua(1.47±0.08)in normal pregnancy women(P=0.004,P=0.036);(2)The serum VEGF level of UERSA women, UERSA but no gestation women,normal pregnancy women and normal pregnancy history but no gestation women were:87.86±7.4 6pg/ml, 73.42±7.29 pg/ml,106.56±8.96 pg/ml,75.25±6.75pg/ml.UERSA women were higher than UERSA but no gestation women,normal early pregnancy women were higher than normal pregnancy history but no gestation women,normal pregnancy women were higher than UERSA women,the difference was significant(P<0.05),but the difference between normal reproductive age's but no gestation women and UERSA but no gestation women had no statistical significance(P>0.05);(3)The VEGF level in serum has correlation with that of villus and decidua in normal pregnancy women(between villus and serum:r=0.726,P=0.000; between decidua and serum:r=0.759,P=0.000)and UERSA women (between villus and serum:r=0.639,P=0.001;between decidua and serum:r=0.691,P=0.000)Conclusions:(1)The higher expression of VEGF is important with the early pregnancy;(2)The decrease of the VEGF during the early pregnancy may one of the important factors which inducing the occurrence of URSA.,the levels of serum VEGF may be a perspective clinical index for the prediction of URSA.
