Objective To properly characterize the cephalometric values and the dental cast features of Fujian Chinese individuals with normal occlusion, thus facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of the adults with malocclusion in Fujian province.Method 123 subjects with normal occlusion were included in the study. Lateral cephalometric radiograph were traced and the dimensions of craniofacial structures were evaluated using Winceph 7.0.Dental features of the casts were examined with electronic vernier caliper.Results Data of teeth and dental arch of normal occlusion in Fujian province were acquired. Mean values and standard deviations of common item in cephalometrics were also attained.Conclusion Dental, occlusal, and craniofacial features of adults with normal occlusion in Fujian province had regional characteristics. Such features were also influenced by race. Therefore, it is beneficial to build a database of normal occlusion in Fujian province to help orthodontist with diagnosis and treatment.
