Establishment Of A New Model Of Partial Unilateral Ureter Obstruction And Observation

Objective: To establish an experimental model of reversible partial unilateral ureter obstruction (PUUO) ,and investigate the morphological change caused by PUUO.Methods: Partial obstruction of the left ureter was created in 40 adult male rabbits by half transfixing upper ureter ,and ultrasound and pathology examinations were performed at 1 ,2 ,4 ,6 and 8 months after operation. 40 rats were established PUUO and then relieve the obstruction by dissecting theeter from psoas groove and returning its normal anatomical position, ultrasound and pathology examinations were performed at 1 ,2 ,4 ,6 and 8 months after obstruction relieved.Results: The collecting system of the obstructed kidney was dilated progressively,APDd V were higher ,and RCT was thinner than those of normal control at every interval( P < 0.01). nephrosis recovered following the relief of obstruction. The earlier relief gains the quicker recovery. Conclusion Half transfixion upper half of ureter produced severe PUUO. Obstruction can be easily reversed. It is a reliable and simple technique for the production of reversible PUUO.
