The Efficacy Of Type V Phosphodiesterase Inhibitors Provocative Erection Test With Audio-visual Sexual Stimulation In Diagnosis Of Erectile Dysfunction

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of typeâ…¤phosphodiesterase(PDE-5)inhibitors provocative erection test with audio-visual sexual stimulation in diagnosis of erectile dysfunction.Methods:853 out-patients diagnosed as erectile dysfunction were divided into injury group and non-injury group according to history.With completed IIEF-5 questionnaires,both groups received audio-visual sexual stimulation,just 30 min after taking PDE-5 inhibitors orally.The information of penile erection was recorded by the Rigiscan Plus. Results:The percentages of mild,moderate and severe ED were 18.8%,31.9%,49.3%in injury group,while 50.6%,39.8%,9.6%in the non-injury group,and there was significant difference between two groups in the mild and severe parts.The percentages of notable,effective,ineffective of the test were 13.0%,14.5%,72.5 %in injury group,with 27.5%as total effective rate,but in the other group they were 55.7%,20.7%,23.6%,76.4%with a significant difference.Conclusion:PDE-5 inhibitors provocative erection test with audio-visual sexual stimulation is a simple,practical,safe and effective method for differentiate the organic and psychological erectile dysfunction.
