Three Cases Of Neurosyphilis And Literature Review

【Objection】The study was to investigate the characteristics of neurosyphilis.【Methods】1,3 case of neurosyphilis which had been met in our hospital recently are analysed.2,The related literatures in recently years are reviewed.【Results】Neurosyphilis is a neurological disorder caused by Treponema.Patients with neurosyphilis may present diverse clinical symptoms at the beginning of the course,therefore it is misdiagnosed easily at the first visit. It is important to comprehend that positive syphilis antibody test in serum or CSF is specific for the diagnosis.Penicilin is the drug of first choice for effective treatment.【Conclusion】Early diagnosis of the disease,especially in its presymptomatic phase is of cardinal importance.It requires a high level of suspicion,since neurosyphilis may be more common than generally thought.High-risk groups should be screened with serological tests so as to prevent morbidity and help eliminate syphilis.
