Cushing's disease is caused by an ACTH secreting pituitary adenoma. The incidence of hypopotassaemia occurring in Cushing's disease is about 10%.And most of them are mild. The reason of hypopotassaemia is related to hypercortisol induced by ACTH,which is over secreted by corticotroph tumor. We described here a case of Cushing's disease with severe hypopotassaemia. And hypopotassaemia was not retrieved until the patient was treated by somatuline. Then the patient was cured by transsphenoidal surgery. This report might give us new insights into severe hypopotassaemia in Cushing's disease and the clinical use of somatuline.
