A Clinical Research Of Gentianae Decoction For Purging LiverFire In The Treatment Of Wetness-heat Syndrome Interstitial Cystitis

Objective:Study the clinical effect of Gentianae Decoction for Purging LiverFire in raising patients of Wetness-heat Syndrome interstitial cystitis's symptom and to add bladder maximum capacitymethod:randomized controlled trial:From June,2007 to April,2008 take 60 cases of Interstitial Cystitis syndrome patients through the postulatesed diagnosis,indrawing and excluding standard,through random method divide them into a treatment group and a control group,apiece of 30 cases,the treatment group are treated once a week with(oral medication of)Gentianae Decoction for Purging LiverFire plus-minus boiled liquid medicine and Gentianae Decoction for Purging LiverFire plus-minus bladder-cavity perfusion,the controlled group are treated once a week with oral medication of 50mg bid imipramine and 100ml heparin perfusion,the treatment course is 60 days.through the Interstitial Cystitis symptom index(ICSI),Interstitial Cystitis problem index(ICPI),the pelvic pain and urgency or frequency(PUF)and urodynamics to assay①(volumnatfirstdesire,VFD)②maximum bladder capacity③maximum micturition rate,and evaluate the curative effect.through testament there is no significant difference between the two group of patients before treatment in general condition,ICSI,ISPI,PUF,bladder capacity etc. result:after 60 days' separate treatments,the treatment group has significant symptom remission,effective rate of 88.0%:ICSI drops from(12.8±3.7)to(7.2±3.4),ICPI from(8.4±3.2)to(4.3±3.4),PUF from(22.5±4.3)to(13.4±4.1).the controled group PUF also drops in different degree。(p＜0.01), indicating effect of the treatment group is better than the one of matched group.To treatment group,the maximum bladder capacity rise from(230±59) to(340±66.7)ml,while the control group rises from(231±61)to maximum bladder capacity,there is no significant difference(p＞0.05 or p＞0.01)in maximum bladder capacity after respective treatments between treatment group and controlled group,indicating that two groups' effect in improving maximum bladder capacity is indistinctive.Conclusion:Chinese oral medication together with irrigation of bladder can effectively improve Interstitial Cystitis symptoms,and western oral medication with irrigation of bladder can also improve Interstitial Cystitis symptoms.But the effect of Chinese medicine is superior,both Chinese and west medicine can improve patients' maximum bladder capacity,yet traditional Chinese medicine's short-term therapy of doesn't indicate its therapeutic effect is superior than the western medicine.
