Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a reactive mental disorder noticed by psychiatrists and psychologist these years. The incidence of the disease is 7%~12% in the general population, and 5% in the male, while 10.4% in the female. Being the high-risk population of PTSD, people who have stress response after psychological trauma must be paid more attentions by us. Therefore, the purpose of the study were: 1.To probe the related factors that influenced stress response, so as to provide theoretical evidence for psychological intervention; 2.To testify the effect of the standard eye-movement scenes , with which treating the patients that have stress response.ResearchⅠ: Correlative study on coping styles, emotion regulation and posttraumatic stress response among medical studentsMethods: 405 college students who have experienced psychological traumatic events were surveyed with psychological questionnaires. With open questionnaire and Symptom Self-rating Scale of Posttraumatic Stress Response, evaluate the symptoms after trauma exposure. With Coping Styles and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, evaluate their coping ways and characteristics of emotion regulation. With SymptomChecklist 90(SCL-90), evaluate their mental health. Results: 1.Compared with the control group , the group of posttraumatic stress response had more avoidance and suppression in positive emotion, and also had morerumination in negative emotion. While in the revealing of positive emotion, they had less than the control group; 2.In the coping styles, the group of posttraumatic stress response preferred fancy, self-reproach, keeping out of the way and rationalization; 3.The occurrence of posttraumatic stress response were positively correlated with avoidance in positive emotion, rumination in negative emotion, self-reproach. While negatively correlated with suppression in negative emotion, problem solving, and asking for help; 4.Stepwise linear regression showed that rumination in negative emotion, the frequency of experiencing negative emotion and fancy were independent predictive variables of posttraumatic stress response.ResearchⅡ: Research on the effect of the eye-movement therapy for posttraumaticstress responseMethods: 41 people who get scores above 35 in the Symptom Self-rating Scale of Posttraumatic Stress Response, were random assigned to the picture-training group and hand-movement group. They separately received the training of eye-movement screen and hand-movement, while recalling the traumatic scenes. Keep their data of skin conduct and electroencephalograms. Tell them to finish the rating scales of scared feelings before and after the experiment. Results: 1.In the picture-training group and the hand-movement group, the data of skin conduct at the last moment of the training is much lower than the first time when it strarted. 2. In the picture-training group and the hand-movement group, the number ofα-wave is correlated with the data of skin conduct after training. And the quantity is much more than before. 3. From the physiological indexes, we discovered that no differences in the three eye-movement ways in the standard scenes. We have got the conclusions as follows:1. We found that the mental health of the people with stress response is not very good.2. People with stress response get feelings that are more negative. It maybe correlated with their emotion regulations. For they often ignore their positive feelings, but pay more attention to their negative feelings. 3. People with stress response often adapt negative coping ways, being short of effective, positive ways.4. The score of symptom is merely related with the frequency of the negative feeling, its particular emotion regulation and immature coping ways. So in clinic, we can give them psychological intervene from changing their emotion regulations and coping ways.5. Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is effective for patients with stress response. And the traditional hand-movement can be replaced with the standard eye-movement scene.6. No differences are found in the three eye-movement ways. Therefore in clinical practice, three ways can be used randomly, avoiding the baldness and adaptation when in one ways.
