The Antineoplastic Activity Of The Docetaxel In Human Breast Cancer Cell Line MCF-7 Pretreated By Dexamethasone

Objective: To investigate the antineoplastic activity of the docetaxel in human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 pretreated by dexamethasone.Methods: With Docetaxel contributed to the MCF-7 cells pretreated with dexamethasone at diverse densities, MTT reduction assay was applied to detect the cells active state and flow cytometer was utilized to detect the apoptosis of cells subsequently, the cells stained with Hoechest33342 were counted and observed through microscope.Results: Either Dex or docetaxel can depress the generation of MCF-7 cells respectively (P<0.01). But the combined effect of the two drugs was attenuated, for the suppress effect on generation of docetaxel was lowered after pretreatment of Dex was performed (P<0.01).Conclusion: The antineoplastic activity of the docetaxel in the human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 can be suppressed by dexamethasone.
