Objective:To investigate the protection and mechanism of chrysin on renal ischemic reperfusion injury in ratsMethods:Firstly renal ischemic/reperfusion injury was established. Rats were divided into three groups according to experiment protocol at random, i.e. sham operation group,ischemic/reperfusion (I/R) group and chrysin + ischemic/reperfusion group respectively. After experiment Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in renal tissues was measured and compared. BUN and Cr were also determinded to assess the functionof the kidney. Pathologic changes were studied by light microscopy.Results:Compared with the sham groups , the contents of MDA,BUN and Cr rosedramatically in the ischemia reperfusion group ( P < 0. 05), But in the treatedgroup , the contents of MDA,BUN and Cr were decreased( P < 0. 05),Conclusion:Chrysin can protect the kidney of ischemia and reperfusion injury in rats. Themechanism may be related to anti-lipid peroxidation. |
