The rennin-angiotensin system (RAS) plays an important role in the regulation of blood pressure. An alternate and more direct mode of selectively blocking the RAS is by antagonists of the effector hormone AT1 at the receptor level. As far as peptide analogs of antagoulsts are concerned, their usefulness as therapeutic agents and pharmacological tools has been hampered by their lack of oral absorption, short duration of action. Lorsatan is the first nonpeptide analogs of antagonist which has better orally activity. Its discovery has stimulated the design of a large number of congeners.we summarized the work of recent nonpeptide Angâ…¡antagoulsts, explained the structure-activity relationships and the synthesis of Lorsatan. We designed six compounds in this paper, and obtained two compounds. Other compounds were still synthesized furtherly.In addition, we have studied the phase analysis of copper residue leached by chloride which was generated by nickel electrolytic plant of JinChuan company, determined the contents of sulfur, nickel, copper, chlorine, studied the methods of desulfurization which provided a basis for recycling of copper residue leached by chloride.
