The adipose tissue is an active endocrine organ which can secrete many kinds of important proteins. These proteins are named as adipocytokine.Adiponectin is one of important adipocytokines. It plays an important role in the metabolism of glycolipid. The low concentration of adiponectin has intimate relation with some diseases such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease.Researches prove that besides its function of adjusting the metabolism of glucose and lipid, adiponectin also has the ability of increasing the sensitivity of insulin and anti-arteriosclerosis.There has been great interest in the research of adipocytokine in recent years. The two hypotypes of adiponectin,AdipoR1 and AdipoR2,are well expressed in skeletal muscles. The combination of adiponectin and Adipo R will promote the metabolism of glucose and lipid through a series of signal transduction. The paper focusd on the effects of different intensities of exercise on adiponectin receptor mRNA expression of rats in skeletal muscles. The study on the influence of exercise on adiponectin receptor can give us a better comprehension of the effects of adiponectin and the relationship of adiponectin and diseases related to fatness such as diabetes and arteriosclerosis. And we can also regard AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 as target gene to design new medicine for the treatment of diabetes and arteriosclerosis. Then we can explore the mechanism of exersise'benign effects on diabetes and related diseases, which can give us some references for the design of exercise prescription.24 male Spargue-Dawley rats aged 2 months were chosen, weighed 226.4±31.0g. Rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:the control group(C,n=8),the moderate intensity exercise group(EX1,n=8),the high intensity exercise group(EX2,n=8).The rats of exercise group swam 5 days a week, and were exercised for 8 weeks. After the training, inspected the mRNA expression of AdipoR1,AdipoR2,PPAR-αand GLUT4 and determined the levels of GLU,ISU,TG,FFA and TCHO.Results:(1)8 weeks moderate and high intensity swimming training promoted healthy rats' glucose uptake and increased the GLUT4 mRNA expression of rats in skeletal muscles significantly, but without the significant influence on healthy rats' ISI.(2)8 weeks moderate swimming training promoted rats' lipid metabolism and increased the AdipoR1mRNA,GLUT4mRNA and PPAR-αmRNA expression of rats significantly, but without significant influence on the expression of AdipoR2.Conclusions:Moderate intensity swimming training increased the expression of AdipoR1 mRNA and PPAR-αmRNA significantly. The result indicates that moderate intensity swimming training can increase the expression of AdipoR1 mRNA and promote the metabolism of lipid through PPAR-αpathway.Both of moderate and high intensities swimming training had no effect on the expression of AdipoR2 mRNA.This indicates that the AdipoR2 are not regulated by exercise in healthy rats.Furthermore, the expression of GLUT4 mRNA and glucose uptake increased significantly and the insulin sensitivity index had no significant change. This indicates that exercise can promote the glucose metabolism independently with no need of the increase of insulin sensitivity. At the same time, the AdipoR2 mRNA expression of rats were regulated by exercise in others studys which focused on obese rats. However, exercise had no similar effects on healthy rats. The mechanism of difference between the two groups need farther researches. These questions mentioned may be helpful for future studies..
