Objective To investigate the correlation between coronary atherosclerosis and retinal atherosclerosis of the patients with hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia. who accept the coronary arteriongraphy and to prognose the condition of coronary atherosclerosis by retinal atherosclerosisMethods Collect 110 cases combined with hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia who do coronary angiography in Department of Cardiology of NO.1 hospital, and then do the examination of ocular fundus for them, at the same time, do the contrast analysis between the results of fundus-examination and coronary angiography.Results1. Results of the funds Comparing the retinal atherosclerosis population distribution of four groups, there were significant differences among A,B,C and D groups, but there were no significant differences among A,B,and C groups. The incidence trends were roughly alike among A,B,and C groups. But there were almost normal person in the D group.2. Results of the coronary arteriongraphy Comparing the coronary atherosclerosis population distribution of four groups, there were significant differences among A,B,C and D groups, and there were significant differences among A,B,and C groups too. The incidence trends were roughly alike among A,B,and C groups. But there were almost normal person in the D group.3. The coefficient correlation betweent coronary atherosclerosis and retinal atherosclerosis of patients with hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia was 0.829;the value was 0.674 of patient with hyperglycemia ; 0.620 of patient with hyperlipemia and 0.613 of patients with no hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia. The incidence rate of coronary atherosclerosis in group which patients have retinal atherosclerosis is higher than group which patients have no retinal atherosclerosis.4. The positive predictive value of simple retinal atherosclerosis for coronary atherosclerosis was 40%; the value was 68.2% when combined with hyperlipemia ; 50% when combined with hyperglycemia and 66.7% when combined with both of them. Conclusion Hypertension, hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia all of them do effects to coronary atherosclerosis and retinal atherosclerosis and the happening of retinal atherosclerosis was predictive for coronary atherosclerosis.
