Objective:To investigate the prevalence and epidemiology charactetistics of chronic Kidney disease(CKD)and reduced renal function in the general adult population of hezhou guangxi, and conduct the risk factors of chronic kidney disease and reduced renal function respectively.Methods:1069 residents(older than 18 years)with eligible data from hezhou guangxi were studied in this investigation. All residents were interviewed and tested for morning spot urine of albumin to creatinine ratio(ACR) (abnormal:≥30mg/g);morning spot urine dipstick of hematuria(abnormal:1+or greater)confirmed by urine microscopy(abnormal:>3 red blood cells / HP);and MDRD equation estimated-GFR[abnormal:<60 ml/min /(1.73m)~2].The associations among demographic characteristics, health characteristics(eg.age, gender, smoking, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperuricemia)and indicators of kidney damage were examined. All datas were analysed with statistical packcage for social sciences 13.0(eg.Chi-square test,Independent samples T test,Binarry logistic). Results:Eligible data of 1069 subjects were enrolled in the study. The prevalence of reduced eGFR 3.6%.The prevalence of chronic kidney disease is 14.4%and the recognition is 1.4%in urban adult population of hezhou guangxi.Approximately14.4%subjects had at least one indicator of kidney damage.Age,gender, diabetes mellitus and hypertension were independently associated with CKD(P<0.05).The prevalence of chronic kidney disease in female was higher than the prevalence in male. The prevalence of chronic kidney disease of older people was higher than younger people.Age,hyperuricemia and hypertension were independently associated with reduced eGFR(P<0.05).Older patients were more likely than their younger counterparts to experience decline in eGFR.Conclusions:The prevalence of chronic kidney disease is 14.4%in urban adult population of hezhou guangxi. The prevalence of reduced eGFR 3.6%. Age,hyperuricemia and hypertension were independently associated with reduced eGFR.Independent risk factors associated with chronic kidney disease are age, gender, diabetes mellitus and hypertension.
