The Preliminary Clinical Study On Treatment Of Liver-stagnation And Spleen-deficiency Irritable Bowel Syndrome By Medical-ozone

Irritable Bowel Syndrome refers to a chronic and recrudescent syndrome,with a high incidence rate and unclear mechanism,it is mainly characterized by abdominal pain, abdominal distention and altered bowel habits.It is easy for the patients to receive medical treatment,however,high medical expense,mental disorders such as depression,anxiety due to the persistent symptoms severely lowered the quality of patients social communication and daily life.At present,we do not have any effective treatment and drug that can completely cure all kinds of IBS.The treatment of IBS is still in research.Since IBS is a common clinical disease,it has certain clinical significance to study its treatment.Being safe,non-toxic and effective,medical-ozone has been widely used in clinical disease.In the study we used medical-ozone as a new treatment to treat Diarrhea Irritable Bowel Syndrome.Objective:to use medical-ozone in the treatment of liver-stagnation and spleen-deficiency Irritable Bowel Syndrome and to investigate new therapy for D-IBS.Methods:65 patients were included and were randomly assigned to two groups respectively:the combination group and medical-ozone group.Patients in the combination group underwent the Chinese and Westen medicine treatment(Dicetel+modified decoction of Tong Xie Yao Fang).Patients in the medical-ozone group underwent the same treatment with the addition of medical-ozone rectal perfusion.(Dicetel+modified decoction of Tong Xie Yao Fang+medical-ozone rectal perfusion).After consecutive observation for 4 weeks, the total improvement rate was assessed according to the SCL-90 Measuring Scale and Main Symptoms Grade Tables between pre and post treatment.Compared the statistic difference of two groups,we evaluated the therapeutic efficacy of medical-ozone in treating IBS.Results:In combination group,the total effective rate of Chinese medicine syndrome was 86.67%while in medical-ozone group it was 93.33%with highly significant statistic difference.(P＜0.05) Conclusion:It was proved that the medical-ozone rectal perfusion had therapeutic effects on liver-stagnation and spleen-deficiency IBS.This treatment can be widely used and the mechanism should be further elucidated in the future.
