Objective:To explore the methods, dosimetric features and short-term e-ffects of three dimensional radiation therapy after conservative surgery for stageâ… andâ…¡breast cancer. Methods:From Mar.2004 to Mar.2006,108 patients with early-stage breast cancer were treated by breast-conserving surgery and whole breast irradiation. All the patients were of stageâ… orâ…¡,and the agewas 23 to 64 (main 43.5).The eligible criteria were single tumor less than 3 cm in diameter, surgical margin is negative. All the pa-tients had experienced six cycle of chemotherapy during four month received three dimension-nal radiation therapy.Total dose was 50GY/25fract-ions in whole breast, supraclavicula field, followed by 10GY boost irrationby electron beam in tumor bed.Patients with hormone receptors were gi-ved tamoxifen. Results:The 1-,2-,3-,4-year overall survival rate was 100%,100%,98.8%,96.3%.cosmeticresults was good but diffent-degree skin injuries.Noradiation induced side effection occurred such as lung inflamation, pulmonary fibrosis and heart injury. Conclusion:Patients with breast cancer treated three dimensional radiation therapyhave hight survival rat-e,so threedim-ensional radiation therapy can providesatisfactory survival quality and local control rate.
