Poly (D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) is one of the most widely used polymers in biomedical fields since it is biocompatible and biodegradable. Carbon nanotubes, due to its intrinsic physical and chemistry properties, also hold great promise for use with more and more attention. In this paper, the 3-D porous scaffold was fabricated by hydroxyl-functionalized multi walled carbon nanotubes (F-MWCNTs) blended PLGA and sieved NaCl/NH4HCO3 (100-200μm) particles. The hydrophilic property of PLGA was significantly increased by the blending of F-MWCNTs. The bone-marrow derived dendritic cells (DCs) were apt to adhere on the F-MWCNTs blended scaffolds compared to the pure PLGA scaffolds. The SEM image also showed the close and friendly contact between DCs and F-MWCNTs. However, further experiment of the scaffold serving as a cell transport cargo in vivo would be needed.
