| Objectives: To investigate the serum level of interleukin-20 (IL-20) and the influencing factor in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Materials and Methods: The the serum level of interleukin-20 (IL-20) in 60 patients with RA and in 30 normal control was measured with ELISA. The correlations of the serum level of IL-20 between rheumatoid arthritis and normal person were analyzed.Result: The serum level of IL-20 in patients with RA was statistically higher than that in healthy control (P<0.01) . The level of IL-20 in patients with RA was not correlated with the rheumatoid factor (RF), C reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and the staging of hands X-ray (P>0.2).Conclusion: The serum level of IL-20 in patients with RA was statistically higher than that in healthy control, but it was not correlated with the rheumatoid factor (RF), C reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and the staging of hands X-ray. IL-20 can be involved in the etiology of RA and need to be studied more. |
