| Objective: To evaluate the biomechanical properties of a new type of percutaneous external transpedicular fixation(PETF) by the method of finite element analysis and provide theoretical data for clinical application, and to optimize the structural design of PETFMethod: With the structure analysis function of Ansys 7.0,a model of PETF was built. Under the same loading condition as short segment posterior fixation devices encountering in fatigue test, this model was stricted and loaded. Through structure analysis, the strain/stress distributions in it and compression stiffness were processed.Result: The result show that in addition to several stress-bearing areas locate in the junctional zones between vertical fixation screw, linker and pedicle screw, the stress of the screw is well-distributed, the compression stiffness of PETF is weak. Conclusion: the junctional zones between vertical fixation screw, linker and pedicle screw are apt to develop load bearing, Combined Usage of PETF and other means to effectively afford support rigidness can greatly improve the effect of clinical application. |
