Study Of The Treatment And Mechanism Of Xihuang Pill Of The Rats With Hyperplasia Of Mammary Glands

Objective: To study the effect of xihuang pill on anti-mammary glandhyperplasia and explore the mechanism of action of xihuang pill onanti-mammary gland hyperplasia by building the rat models of mammary glandhyperplasia.Method: the models of mammary gland hyperplasia were induced by benzoateestradiol injection in unfertilized female rats, at the same time the rats withhyperplasia of mammary glands were administered by gavage with xihuang pill.Observe the correlate indexes of mammary gland hyperplasia, and detect theserum levels of sex hormones, the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), thelevel of malondialdehyde (MDA) and the organ coefficient. The data wereanalyzed by statistics method.Result: xihuang pill could inhibit the intumescence of mamma induced byestadiol. the diameter and height of nipples were obviously reduced (P＜0.01);the lobules of lung changed smaller, the acinar number decreased, the acinar and catheter cave dilated smaller, the secretion in catheter branches and cavesdecreased, adipose tissue became hyperplasy in the xihuang pill group. Thelevel of serum estadiol in xihuang pill group was obviously decreased and thelevel of progesterone was obviously increased (P＜0.05); xihuang pill coulddecrease the level of serum estadiol, increase the level of serum progesterone,raise the activity of SOD, reduce the level of MDA, raise the coefficient ofadrenal gland and inhibit the coefficient of thymus diminished in mammarygland hyperplasia rats.Conclusion:1. xihuang pill had good prevention and cure action on the rats of mammarygland hyperplasia, the mechanism was that xihuang pill could reduce thelevel of serum estradiol and raise the level of progesterone, then it couldmake the balance of the blood estradiol and progesterone.2. xihuang pill could affect the activity of SOD and the level of MDA, so itcould induce the activity of SOD in the body obviously increased and thelevel of MDA decreased. Therefore, the damage of anti-oxyradical andanti-lipidperoxidation could probably cure the cyclomastopathy.
