Effects of Xuefu Zhuyu Oral liquid on skeletal muscle contraction and its preliminary mechanism in ratOBJECTIVE Xuefu Zhuyu Oral liquid, a traditional Chinese medicine, who has an accelerate function of the blood circulation, will be examined how to effect the skeletal muscle contraction and its preliminary mechanism in rats. METHODS Thirty two mouse which the swimming base time SD. less than ten minutes were selectd from the fifty mousse after the habituation swimming. The thirty two mouse were divided into four groups(I.e, control group, low dose group,middle dose group,large dose group) and every group was eight mouse.The weight loading swimming time is observed after affuse stomach with Xuefu Zhuyu Oral liquid (low dose 8ml/kg,middle dose 16ml/kg,large dose 32ml/kg, drug concentration low dose 25%, middle dose 50%, large dose 100%, control group with 0.9%Nacl 32 ml/kg) 2 weeks. The twenty eight rats were divided into four groups(I.e, control group, low dose group,middle dose group,large dose group) and every group was seven rats.The effects of the gastrocnemius and linea obliqua tibiae's contractibility which obtained from electric stimulating ischiadic nerve were observed after affuse stomach with Xuefu Zhuyu Oral liquid (low dose 8ml/kg,middle dose 16ml/kg,large dose 32ml/kg, drug concentration low dose 25%,middle dose 50%,large dose 100%, control group with 0.9%Nacl 32 ml/kg) 2 weeks. The assaying of Superoxide Dismutase(SOD), Glutathione Peroxidase (GSH—PX), Lactic Acid (LD) and Malondialdehyde(MDA) were carried out by text box of Nanking Jiancheng Biotechnology Institute strictly. RESULTS Xuefu ZhuYu Oral liquid can increase weight loading swimming times in mouse. Further more, it also can enhance Pt, shorten CT, extend HRT when the gastrocnemius and soleus muscle's simple contraction take place in rat. Moreover, it also can enhance Pt, shorten CT, extend FI when the gastrocnemius and soleus muscle's tetanus take place in rat. At last, we observed it not only enhance SOD enzymatic active, GSH—PX content, but also degrade MDA and LD's content in the muscle of the rats who had affused stomach with Xuefu Zhuyu Oral liquid.CONCLUSION Xuefu Zhuyu Oral liquid can tone up skeletal muscles contractility of rat by resisting free radical.
