Clinical Study On Treatment Of Oligospermatism With Syndrome Of Deficiency Of Kidney Essence By Tusihuangqitang

Objective: With the study on curative effects of male infertility with oligospermatism treatedby traditional Chinese medicine "Tusihuangqitang" and with the comparison observation onsperm indexes before and after the treatment, to explore a new therapy of male infertility withpositive antisperm antibody with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: 60 cases with male infertility with oligospermatism in syndrome of deficiency ofkidney essence were selected as the research subjects and were divided into two groupsrandomly. 30 cases were selected as treatment group and treated by traditional ChineseMedicine "Tusihuangqitang" for three months; 30 cases were selected as control group andtreated by western medicine "clomiphene" for three months. The improvements of clinicalsymptoms, sperm density, and sperm indexes (sperm liquefied duration, sperm amount, PH,sperm survival rate, sperm motility, sperm deformation rate etc) were observed and the resultswere disposed with statistics.Results: 1. It showed significant differences in the clinical cure rate and total valid ratebetween the treatment group and control group (P＜0.01). After the treatment, the marks ofclinical symptoms of treatment group were lower than the control group (P＜0.01).Theimprovement of clinical symptoms of the treatment group was better than control group (P＜0.01), especially the improvements of frequent micturition in night, hyposexuality, intoleranceof cold, dizziness and tinnitus, lack of energy. 2. the improvements of sperm density of the treatment group was better than control group (P＜0.01). 3. After the treatment, the spermmotility and sperm survival rate of the treatment group were better than before the treatment(P＜0.01). After the treatment, however there were no significant differences in the spermamount, sperm liquefied duration, sperm deformation rate and PH (P＞0.05). 4. After thetreatment, the improvements of T,FSH,LH in serum of the treatment group were better thanbefore the treatment (P＜0.01). After the treatment, however there were no significantdifferences in PRL (P＞0.05).Conclusions: The curative effects of "Tusihuangqitang" were better than "clomiphene""Tusihuangqitang" was a effective traditional Chinese medicine to cure male infertility witholigospermatism.
