Effect Of Fructus Aurantii Immaturus Capsule On Endothelial Function And The Platelet Activation In Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome

Objective To evaluate effect of Fructus Aurantii Immaturus on endothelial function, ox-LDL and the platelet activation in patients with acute coronary syndromes(ACS).Methods 68 patients with ACS were randomly divided into routine therapy group(33cases) and Fructus Aurantii lmmaturus treatment group (34 cases). The platelet activation factor CD62p, Serum NO, ox-LDL and plasma ET-1 were measured before treatment and three weeks later after treatment respectively. In addition 30 healthy check-up people, who didn,t take any medicine in two weeks before blood sampling, were selected as a control group.Results The level of NO was lower and ET-1,ox-LDL,CD62pcontent were higher in ACS patients companied with those of the normal group (P＜0.01 all), the serum levels of NO obviously increased and the plasma levels of ET-1 and ox-LDL decreased in both groups after treatment (P＜0.01 all) and difference between the two groups was significant (P＜0.01): there was significant differences on CD62p in both groups before and after treatment, but there was no significant differences between the both groups after treatment (P＜0.01).Conclusion Fructus Aurantii Immaturus can improve the endothelial function and decreased the plasma levels of ox-LDL in patients with ACS, but there was no significant effect on platelet activation.
