| Objective To investigate the effects of different intensity white noise on stress hormones of blood plasmaand Fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus in neonatal guinea pigs and to study its possiblemechanisms. Methods Totally 48 healthy neonatal guinea pigs (3~5 days old) were included in the study, which wererandomized into eight groups: the two control groups (n=6), the two 40dB groups (n=6), the two 70dBgroups (n=6), and the two 100dB groups (n=6). Placed four different groups into the sound arrester box inturn and received respective stimulator of white noise 1 hour, then took them out, and mensurated stresshormones of blood plasma immediately; placed other four different groups into the sound arrester box inturn and received respective stimulator of white noise 1 hour, and continued to stay in the box for 1 hour, then took them out, and mensurated c-fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus by streptavidin-biotinperoxidase (S-P) methods of immunohistochemistry. Results The level of stress hormones of blood plasma and Fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus inneonatal guinea pigs of 70dB group and 100dB group was higher than those of control group (P<0.01);while the differences of stress hormones of blood plasma and Fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus inneonatal guinea pigs of 40dB group and control group were not significan (P>0.05).Conclusion①At physiological condition the expression on stress hormones of blood plasma inneonatal guinea pigs was little; ordinary stimulator of white noise increased the stress hormones of bloodplasma expression in neonatal guinea pigs; The effect on increased the intensity of white noise contentgradually increased the expression on stress hormones of blood plasma in neonatal guinea pigs.②Atphysiological condition the expression on Fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus in neonatalguinea pigs was little; ordinary stimulator of white noise increased the Fos protein expression of cochlearnucleus expression in neonatal guinea pigs; The effect on increased the intensity of white noise contentgradually increased the expression on Fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus in neonatal guineapigs.③Take action to reduce environmental noise can comparably reduce the level of stresshormones of blood plasma and Fos protein expression of cochlear nucleus, so we can conclude thatreduces the effects of brain in the same way. |
