Hence, BMP4 would also have the important effect of recovery of nerve injury.Methods:From the molecular biology, the research examined the influence of Plastrum Testudinis liquor on BMP4mRNA, BMP4 and TH in SN and striatum through transfer and interpretation with the adoption of experiment technic of real-time fluorescence PCR, ELISA, Western-blotting etc.Conclusion:The research has accomplished the establishment of the Parkinson's disease rats we used the method which injected the 6-OHDA in SN and striatum, and the examination of BMP4's RT-PCR, and BMP4 ELISA. The result showed that BMP4 in the SN and striatum expressed low in normal, but it stepped up after the injured of SN and striatum, and then got down. While the expression of BMP4 in striatum on both gene level and protein level are at the equal pace which is different from the expression of BMP4 in SN. That would be because BMP4 is the important neurotrophic factor. After the injured of SN that leaded to the breakdown of BMP4, the paracrine of BMP4 from the other encephalic region cause its accrescence.
