| Objective: To observe the effect of Qishao To Awake Brain pellet on the liver' fanction of Wistar rats.In order to insure the security of using medicine in clinic and be ready for declaring sixth new traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: 120 wistar rats were divided into high,mid,low dosage and comparison groups by chance,Qishao To Awake Brain pellet (24,12,4.8g/kg) was given to high,mid,low dosage group by lavage for 6 months,comparison group were given distilled water instead of medicine.3months,6months and two weeks after given medicine,taking out 10 rats from each group by chance,inspecting the indexes of blood and liver' function,weighing livers and calculating the coefficient,organizations were inspected in pathology and histology.Results :1.The four groups' general signs were not abnormal and in both periods of given medicine and recovery and did not discover any toxic reaction.2.The indexes of blood:The indexes of RBC,HCT,EO,BASO in dose have marked differences in statistics(P<0.05),the indexes of Hb,WBC,LY,MONO,NEUT,PLT in dose have no marked differences in statistics(P>0.05);the indexes of RBC,Hb,HCT,MONO,EO,PLT in time have marked differences in statistics (P<0.01),the indexes of WBC,LY,NEUT,BASO in time have no marked differences in statistics(P>0.05);the indexes of RBC,WBC,EO have effects on each other in dose and time. (P<0.01) ,the indexes of Hb,HCT,LY,MONO,NEUT,BASO,PLT have no effect on each other in dose and time (P>0.05) .3.The indexes of liver : the indexes of ALT,AKP,TPR,ALB in dose have marked differences in statistics (P<0.05),the indexes of AST,GGT,TBIL in dose have no marked differences in statistics(P>0.05);the indexes of AKP,TPR,ALB in time have marked differences in statistics(P<0.01),the indexes of ALT,AST,GGT,TBIL in time have no marked differences in statistics(P>0.05); the indexes of TPR,ALB have effects on each other in dose and time (P<0.01) ,the indexes of ALT,AST,GGT,AKP,TBIL have no effect on each other in dose and time (P>0.05) .4.The liver' coefficient:the liver' coefficient in dose have no marked differences in statistics(P>0.05);the liver' coefficient in time have marked differences in statistics(P<0.01).the liver' coefficient have effect on each other in dose and time (P>0.05 ) .5.The liver' organizations in pathology and histology: Some of the liver' organizations of high dose are abnormal.Conclusion:1.Qishao To Awake Brain pellet has no toxic effect on normal signs of wistar rats.2.Qishao To Awake Brain pellet has no marked effect on the indexes of blood of wistar rats.3.The high dose of Qishao To Awake Brain pellet has some toxic effects on the liver' fanction of wistar rats.4.The mid,low dose of Qishao To Awake Brain pellet have no toxic effect on the liver' fanction of wistar rats. |
