| Objective:Rectal cancer is a common cancer, is a higher degree of malignancy, prones to blood, lymphatic metastasis and gastrointestinal planting disseminated. TGF-β1(transforming growth factor-β1) is also a multifunctional cytokine involved in cell growth regulator . Most normal epithelial cells and tumor cell growth is inhibited by it. The Smad2, 4, 7 protein expression were detected by immunohistochemistry in rectal carcinoma tissue. The study explore the role and interrelation of theSmad2, 4, 7 protein in the evolution of rectal cancer. Methods :The rectal tissue samples of 61 patients with rectal cancer were collected ,33 cases of Duck 's A-B, 28 cases of Duck 's C-D, High-differentiated tissue is 39 cases, Poorly differentiated tissue is 22 cases; All patients were examined by surgery and pathology. 15 cases of normal rectal tissues. Smad2, 4, 7 proteins of conventional paraffin sections were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results :There was a significant difference between the cancer tissue and normal tissue in the expression of Smad2 and Smad4( p<0.05);The positive expression in Duck 's A-B and C-D was significant difference( p<0.05);The positive expression was also a clear difference between phistological grade (high-differentiated and poorly differentiated) ( p<0.05), cancer tissue and normal tissue compared The Smad7 expression was significant difference between the cancer tissue and normal tissue ( p<0.01).Conclusion:The disorders of Smad4 expression may participate in the onset and progression of rectal carcinoma, Detection of Sm related to the occurrence of cancer, may be helpful to detect some benign lesions, may help determine the carcinogenic risk. |
