| Objective: To guide clinic use of different bone densitometry, we compared the relationship of values measured by two different bone density measure methods (QCT and DXA) with bone ash density, the skewness of the volume BMD measured by two different bone density measuer methods (QCT and DXA) and confirmed the fact that QCT is accurate and worth applying in clinic in further step.Materials and Methods: Fifteen pig lumbar vertebral bodies were recruited. After removal of surrounding parenchyma and adjunct, BMD was measured by both QCT and DXA. The adjunct-removed vertebrae were incinerated. The gross value of BMC and BMD respectively measured by QCT and DXA were compared with the bone ash weight and bone ash density of incinerated vertebrae. After calculated the volume BMD measured by DXA,we further calculated the skewness of cortical BMD trabetical BMD measured by QCT and the volume BMD measured by DXA compared with bone ash density. Results: the correlation of trabetical BMD cortical BMD measured by QCT and bone ash weight bone ash density (the correlation coefficient of trabetical BMD and bone ash weight r=0.9761, p< 0.001 ) ; the correlation coefficient of trabetical BMD and bone ash density r=0.9307, p<0.001; the correlation coefficient of cortical BMD and bone ash weight r=0.9436, p<0.001; the correlation coefficient of cortical BMD and bone ash density r=0.9397, p<0.001 ) . the correlation coefficient of BMC measured by DXA with vertebrae's bone ash weight r=0.9995, p<0.001,the correlation of BMD measured by DXA and bone ash weight bone ash density (the correlation coefficient of trabetical BMD and bone ash weight r=0.9193, 0.002 |
