| Objective To study the expression of AP-1 and connexin43 in uterussmooth muscle of term pregnancy and premature delivery, and to study thecorrelation of AP-1 and connexin43 in pregnancy uterus smooth muscle.Methods Immunohistochemistry method was used for 15 uterussmooth muscle samples in term pregnancy without labor, 15 uterus smoothmuscle samples in term pregnancy with labor, 10 uterus smooth musclesamples in premature delivery with labor to investigate the expression of twosubuits of AP-1(c-Jun,c-Fos) and connexin43 protein.Results1. c-Jun,c-Fos and connexin43 protein express differently in uterussmooth muscle sample of every group, Positive expression of c-Jun,c-Fosprotein principally locates in cytoblast, Positive expression of connexin43principally locates in cytoplasm,cytomembrane.2. Immunohistochemical scores(IH scores) of Cx43 in uterus smoothmuscle samples in of term pregnancy with labor (4.33±0.51)and prematuredelivery with labor (4.20±0.42) were significantly higher than in termpregnancy without labor (3.15±0.41) (P<0.01).3. lable index of c-Jun protein in preterm delivery with labor,in termpregnancy with labor,in term pregnancy without labor was respectively51.60±3.84%,44.80±5.31%,33.80±4.40%。There were difference among three groups(P<0.01).4. lable index of c-Fos protein in preterm delivery with labor, in termpregnancy with labor,in term pregnancy without labor was respectively52.60±3.72%,43.13±5.50%,30.93±3.35%。There were difference amongthree groups(P<0.01).5. Positive rank correlation between the expression of Cx43 and c-Jun,c-Fos protein in pregnancy uterus smooth muscle was observed (r=0.643,0.628, P<0.01).Conclusions1. The connexin43's function in onset of labor was important.2. The expressions of Cx43 and AP-1 in pregnancy uterus smoothmuscle were positively correlated. |
