Expression And Significance Of COX-2,PCNA,MVD In Prostatic Cancer

Objective To explore the expression and significance of COX-2 PCNA MVD in prostatic cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical method was used for the COX-2 PCNA MVD on the paraffin-embedded sections of 39 specimen of PCa tissues and 20 specimen of BPH tissues. Results There was a significant difference of COX-2 PCNA MVD expression between the PCa and BPH (P＜0.05) ,meanwhile, There was a significant difference of COX-2 PCNA expression among the PCa tumor cell nuclear grade and the clinical stage(P＜0.05),There was a correlation between expression of COX-2 and expression of PCNA(r=0.498). There was a significant difference of MVD figure among the PCa tumor cell nuclear grade and the clinical stage(P＜0.05),but the difference only existed in high grade group with middle grade group or low grade group(P＜0.05); the MVD figure of C stage and D stage wereer than A+B stage(P＜0.05),but there was no difference between C stage and D stage(P＞0.05). Conclusion: COX-2 PCNA MVD may be important elements in PCa. COX-2 plays an important role-in PCa by increasing tumor cell proliferation and neovascularization.
