| Objective: Nowadays pterion approach is applied more and more extensive, to study the type and the entrance point of the superficial middle cerebral vein, and its anastomosis veins is needed badly.Method: Fifteen adault cadaveric heads fixed with foemalin were used, red pigment was injected into Intracal arteries and blue pigment was injected into Intracal veins. Cut the scalp along the sagittal line and turn it to two sides, take down the calvarium of one side along supraorbital margin, key point, the superior margin of zygomatic arch, external occipital protuberance and sagittal suture. Open the cerebral dura mater; separate the bridging veins of each zone and relate them with some signs of body surface. Observe and measure many index of the lateral veins located in each zone such as caliber, the number of bringing veins and so on. Handle the opposite hemisphere by the same way. Observation items involved the form of the superficial middle cerebral vein and its anastomosis veins.Result: The main types of the superficial middle cerebral vein were single(10), double(11), tris(6) and undeveloped(3). Their superior anastomotic vein (Trolard vein) and inferior anastomotic vein (Labbe vein) are not present constant. The absence of Trolard vein is four on left and nine on right. The absence of Labbe vein is four on left and three on right. Conclusion: It is very important to master the micradissection of the superficial middle cerebral vein when severing the sylvian fissura. Injuring the superficial middle cerebral vein will cause post operative complication, if the anastomosis veins are undeveloped. |
