ObjectiveTo discover the condyle movement characters of angle class two malocclusionswithTMD, to offer the guidelines for clinical diagnosis and plan of treatment.MethodsThirty volunteers were chosen for this study, aged from 18 to 25 years with the meanyears of 21.9.According to the Angle classification the volunteers were divided into twogroups and each group included 15 people, the tracings of condyle movement wererecorded by CADIAXⅢ, then, to study the qualitative and quatitative characters amongAngleⅡ~1,AngleⅡ~2 with TMD and without TMD.Results1) The tracings of the condyle movement of angle class two malocclusions withTMD were asymmetry in right and left sides. During movement, the tracings in right orleft side lacked continuity, where there was condyle sound there was a jump in tracing.2)During movement, the sagital distances and vertical distances in condyle of angle classtwo malocclusion with TMD were bigger than angle class two malocclusion withoutTMD, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). 3) There were sex differencesin sagital distances and vertical distances in condyle of angle class two malocclusion withTMD group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).Conclusions1) The tracings of the condyle movement of angle class twomalocclusion with TMDis asymmetry in right and left sides. During movement, the tracings in right or left sidelack continuity, where there is condyle sound there is a jump in tracing.2) The condylemovement distances of angle class two malocclusion with TMD group is greater thanangle class two malocclusion without TMD group. It suggests that the proportion ofligament's looseness in angle class two malocclusion with TMD group is greater thanwithout TMD.3)There is sex difference in condyle movement distances of angle class twomalocclusion with TMD.
